The battle hardened Alsisar Mahal is the most recent
addition to Alsisar Group of Hotels which has now become an ideal base to
explore not only the old historic capital of Jhunjhunu but also the whole
painted region of Shekhawati. This majestic palace is situated in village
Alsisar which is 23 Km's from district head quarter 'JhunJhunu' in Rajasthan.

Destination
Shekhawati, lies inside the triangle made by the
Bikaner, Jaipur and Delhi - it is the region that lies within this zone. It is
a mini desert region of north Rajasthan. The region takes the name of its
erstwhile ruler Rao Shekha and Shekhawati's actual meaning is the “Garden of
Shekha'. The region is replete with Palaces (Havelis) with beautiful wall
paintings. The entire Shekhawati region has mesmerized millions of tourists and
has been aptly dubbed as the 'Open Art Gallery' of Rajasthan'.
Shekhawati is also the home to various small fortresses,
minor castles, mosques, wells (baodis) and also a deer sanctuary. Ideally the
region should be traversed on a Horse Safari or a Camel Safari to enjoy the
semi desert formation and the well preserved wall painted Havelis. The climate varies to the extremes and it is
advisable to carry the woolens if the travel is planned during Oct-Feb. There
